Prof. Ji has published 44 papers as first or corresponding author in well-known journals at home and abroad. Twelve of his paper were included in Q1 journals, and seventeen in Q2 journals, and one was selected as an excellent paper by Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and three were awarded as outstanding papers by China Conference on Non-Traditional Machining. He also  authored four English monographs. Due to his academic achievements, he received Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award (first prize); Technical Invention Award of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (first prize); Technical Invention Award of the Ministry of Education, China (second prize); Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education, China (second prize); Scientific and Technological Invention Award of SINOMACH (second prize); and Qingdao Natural Science Award (second prize). His previous honors include Hongkong Scholar; the Award Nomination for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation; Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (bronze prize); the 10th Qingdao Youth Science and Technology Award; the Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow of Shandong Province and the first batch of Outstanding Young Talents of Qingdao West Coast New Area; and was included in Hong Kong Scholar Program in 2014. His team, which focuses on high-end equipment manufacturing, was approved as an excellent team in Shandong under his guide. Currently, he serves as member of CMES Non-Traditional Manufacturing Committee; member of CMES Mechanical and Automation Engineering Committee; member of Non-Traditional Machine Tools; deputy director of CMES Youth Working Committee; and member of CMES Training and Popularization Committee. He is also deputy director of the Youth Editorial Committee of Journal of China University of Petroleum (Natural Science Edition); editorial board member of Manufacturing Automation; editorial board member of International Journal of Hydromechatronics; member of Shandong Non-Traditional Manufacturing Committee; member of the Society of Hong Kong Scholars; and senior member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES). 

在国内外知名期刊以第一/通讯作者发表学术论文44篇，其中JCR Q1论文12篇，Q2论文17篇，1篇论文获中国机械工程学会优秀论文奖，3篇论文被评为中国特种加工学术会议优秀论文，出版英文专著4部。研究成果获山东省科技进步一等奖、中国石油和化学工业联合会技术发明一等奖、教育部技术发明二等奖、教育部科技进步二等奖（2项）、中国机械工业科学技术发明二等奖、青岛市自然科学二等奖等。个人获香江学者奖、全国优秀博士学位论文提名奖、机械工程学会上银优秀机械博士论文铜奖、第十届青岛市青年科技奖、山东省优秀博士后和青岛市西海岸新区首批优秀青年人才，入选2014年度香江学者计划。作为负责人的高端装备制造技术创新团队获批山东省高等学校优秀青年创新团队。目前担任中国机械工程学会特种加工分会委员、中国机械工程学会机械工业自动化分会委员、全国特种加工机床标准化技术委员会委员、中国机械工程学会特种加工分会青年工作委员会副主任、中国机械工程学会特种加工分会教育培训与科普工作委员会委员、《中国石油大学学报（自然科学版）》青年编委会副主任、《制造业自动化》青年编委会委员、《International Journal of Hydromechatronics》青年编委会委员、山东省特种加工专业委员会委员、香港学者协会会员、中国机械工程学会高级会员等。
